This calculator assumes: eligibility is inclusive at both the minimum and maximum age boundary (someone whose completed age exactly equals the limit, on the cutoff date, is treated as eligible) — RRB's own notification is the final word if this differs. Ex-servicemen relaxation is not yet supported (it needs a service-length input this tool doesn't collect). Only General/EWS and single-category relaxation combinations are shown as worked examples below; the calculator itself supports any combination in the list.

Frequently asked questions

Which post type should I choose?

Graduate (CEN 06/2025) covers posts that require a graduate degree — Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Station Master, and similar. Undergraduate (CEN 07/2025) covers 10+2-level posts. Check your specific post in the official notification if you're unsure.

I'm both PwD and from a reserved category — which relaxation applies?

Select the combined option from the category list (e.g. "PwD (OBC)") — these are documented as single, specific relaxation figures, not the two relaxations simply added together. See the PwD + OBC guide below for a worked example.

What if I'm an Ex-serviceman?

Ex-servicemen relaxation isn't supported by this calculator yet — it depends on your length of service, an input this tool doesn't collect. Check the official notification directly for that calculation.

Is the cutoff date the same as the exam date?

No — the cutoff date (1 January 2026 for both CEN 06/2025 and CEN 07/2025) is the reference date your age is measured against, fixed by the notification. It's usually well before the actual exam is held.
