RRB NTPC Age Limit for OBC Candidates
OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates get a 3-year age relaxation over the General upper age limit. On RRB NTPC's cutoff date of 1 January 2026, that works out to:
Graduate posts
18–39
(36 + 3)
Undergraduate posts
18–33
(30 + 3)
Worked example
An OBC candidate born 31 December 1988 is 37 years, 0 months old on the cutoff date — which is within the Graduate-post limit of 39 . A General-category candidate with the same date of birth would already be past the unrelaxed limit of 36 — this 3-year difference is the entire effect of the OBC relaxation.
